Dan Franko was born in Medina, Ohio. His parents moved the family to Maryland before Dan's first birthday, and he grew up in Frederick, Maryland. Dan received his B.A. in Theatre Art & Communication from Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College) in Westminster, MD. In May of 2003, Dan co-founded Dobler's Pen Productions. Through Dobler's Pen, Dan has branched into other aspects of filmmaking including writing, directing, and producing. However, acting remains Dan's favorite part of the filmmaking process. Dan played the 'Indie' character in the popular Dobler's Pen series, 'Indie vs Studio.' He's involved with Studio 333's ongoing Actors Club Workshop in Baltimore.
